Epic End-Effectors

Whether you’re printing a whole new generation of strong, lightweight, impossible parts, or using additive manufacturing to revolutionize your mold and tooling processes, our end-effectors are built to help drive you into the future.

Orbital to Earth. Come in, Earth.

With continuous carbon reinforcement, open chemistry, integrated monitoring, and a high degree of modularity, our end-effectors are in a whole new world.

Industrial design that performs as good as it looks

Every sub-component is redesigned and optimized for maximum performance & reliability. Imagine applying jet-engine & Mars rover design techniques to make the most advanced 3D printing nozzles. Go ahead - push the boundaries.

Modular design

The fundamental design principle of Orbital Composites is that 3D printers should be designed around the parts they create. Just as your requirements for parts have a wide range of possibilities, our end-effectors are designed to be modular, with numerous customization options.

Many materials.

Infinite possibilities.

Our commitment to letting you build parts using the chemistries you need is fundamental to our approach. Choose materials that are best suited to your application.

We support a wide range of thermoplastics, including high performance plastics like PEEK, in the industry standard 1.75mm and 2.85mm filament sizes. For continuous fiber printing, we support fiber tows from 3k - 100k.

With multiple nozzle sizes available (0.5mm-3mm), and our strong, efficient filament drivers and motors, Orb can meet a wide range of requirements for print resolution and speed.

Wait - I can 3D print with reinforced carbon fiber?

You bet. Carbon fiber isn’t cheap, so put your money where your need is. Our continuous carbon fiber reinforcement capabilities are designed to enable you to apply carbon fiber exactly where you want it. By reinforcing only where necessary, you can create lightweight, strong thermoplastic parts at a significantly reduced price compared to current carbon fiber manufacturing technologies.
